DEBS PARK AUDUBON CENTER BIRDWALK

February 2, 2008

Join Jenny Jones, member of the Los Angeles Audubon Society and local bird enthusiast, for an early walk in the walnut woodland and discover the birds of Debs Park. Learn how to identify local birds and their unique behaviors as well as compare their different songs and calls. Meet in the entry courtyard of Debs Park.

The Audubon Center at Debs Park houses an environmental education center and ecological monitoring program. Over half the park is covered in walnut-oak woodland, grassland, and coastal sage scrub, a remnant of the native habitats that once rimmed the Los Angeles Basin.
