Susan Jacoby will discuss her new book “The Age of American Unreason” in a conversation with Jack Miles. Jacoby offers a dazzlingly insightful and occasionally hilarious analysis of the anti-rationalism, anti-intellectualism, and anti-scientism that increasingly characterizes the cultural and intellectual life of this country.
Susan Jacoby’s last book, “Freethinkers,” was championed by Philip Roth, Sam Harris, and the late Arthur Schlesinger. She is a regular commentator on NPR, and a contributor to the New York Times, among many others. She is the author of seven books, including “Wild Justice,” a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
