OCMA presents the 24-hour performance of “9Beetstretch,” a musical composition and soundscape by Norwegian composer Leif Inge based on Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. By dramatically stretching out the symphony, Inge reinterprets the much-heard classic. Lounge furniture for nighttime listening provided.

On May 8, 2007, Griffith Park was consumed by a massive wildfire, devastating over 800 acres. Photographer Colin Remas Brown documented the aftermath and was shocked to find that the Park’s abundant wildlife was one of its greatest victims. The Drkrm Gallery is hosting an opening reception for Brown’s work in “Aftermath: The Griffith Park Fire,” a look at the loss of the Park’s native population.

The LA improv comedy center, iO West, presents “Improvised Tennessee Williams.” Performed by the Kind Stranger players, this Williams-inspired production is filled with the requisite heat, booze and sexual tension. iO West, the LA arm of the famous iO in Chicago boasts such alumni as Tina Fey, Mike Meyers, Any Dick and Andy Richter.
