Maher is the host of HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher,” and previously hosted ABC’s “Politically Incorrect.” Snow, a frequent guest host for both Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly, was a speechwriter for President George H.W. Bush, and White House Press Secretary from 2005 to 2007.

ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS

Register for Italian for Beginners at the Italian Cultural Institute of LA as the spring semester begins on May 5th. Grammatical structures are taught but the emphasis of the course is on speaking. Communication goals include greetings and introducing oneself, asking for information, and describing people, objects and places. TOBIAS WOLFF:                           OUR STORY BEGINS

One of America’s contemporary masters of the short story, Tobias Wolff, will read from and discuss his new book “Our Story Begins: New and Selected Stories.” Including ten new stories, along with twenty-one classics, the collection displays his works from over a quarter century.

Wolff will be in conversation with David L. Ulin, book editor for the LA Times and editor of “Another City: Writing from Los Angeles and Writing Los Angeles: A Literary Anthology,” which won a California Book Award.
