MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY PARADE

The MLK Day Parade, themed “30 Years of Continuing the Dream,” commences on Martin Luther King Blvd at Crenshaw Blvd and lasts for two miles until Western Ave. It includes more than 150 floats, 20 drill teams, ten dance groups, celebrities, and the bombastic tunes of a military marching band.The Martin Luther King Kingdom Day Parade has been celebrated for the last 20 years and over a million people take to the streets of Los Angeles to remember the life and works of the great man.Local vendors and restaurants spill out onto the street in the carnival atmosphere.
