Qawwali, the ecstatic devotional music of the Sufis, uses Sufi poetic texts, strong, rapturous voices and hand-clapping rhythms to express the elation of divine love. Revered as two of India’s finest Qawwali musicians, brothers Mehr and Sher Ali will perform at Royce Hall. Their performances are part of a continual effort to create a direct channel to divine union through singing and tabla playing.
