RECLAIMING THE “F” WORD

The “F” word (as in “Feminism”) is the focus of a new exhibit of bold and graphic political posters depicting the diversity of women’s activism. Looking at the feminist movement from the suffragettes to today, the posters portray women from different cultures protesting such issues as the Vietnam War, apartheid in South Africa and the treatment of women in Darfur.

Presented by the Center for Political Graphics and on view at CSU Northridge, the opening reception for “Reclaiming the “F” Word” will include a panel discussion with some of the exhibition’s artists.
