For those of you who never went on a scavenger hunt as a kid and for those of you who can’t stop going on them, the LA Scavenger Hunt is the ultimate urban adventure. Teams of 2-5 people, required to have a movie style gang name (like “the Warriors”), will meet at the Echo Park Lake to receive the official hunt list. Don’t mistake last years items, including gay porno mags pre-1987, life size cut outs of Eazy E, photos of team members kissing strangers and everyone getting extended fingernails, as mere silliness. At the end of the day teams with the most points can receive such booty as $500 cash, the world’s largest whiskey bottle and 1 hour to play whatever they want on KXLU 89.9FM.
